Ambareen Mohamed, O.D., is an optometrist with more than 15 years of experience specializing in comprehensive eye exams, with an emphasis on contact lens fittings. She is dedicated to the most current technology as it relates to her patient’s specific ocular needs.
Dr. Mohamed was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and attended the University of Toronto where she obtained an Honors Degree in Biological Sciences. She received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry located in Memphis, TN in 2002--graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at Southern College of Optometry, she was the president of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society and an active member of S.V.O.S.H. (Student Volunteers in Optometric Services to Humanity) where she participated in two mission trips to Costa Rica to provide eye examinations and eyeglasses to those in need.
Dr. Mohamed has resided in Kennesaw since 2002. She is married and has two active boys and enjoys watching them play hockey and soccer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and likes to travel. She also enjoys running and taking Pure Barre classes.
